Essential Job Functions:
The Academic Records Assistant is responsible for scanning, indexing, and filing academic records and for preparing documents for entry into Banner, including but not limited to graduation applications, FERPA forms, transfer transcripts, and test scores.
This position requires a willingness to assume additional responsibilities and to work collaboratively within the Registrar’s Office and other campus departments. This may include other duties necessary to support the effective operation of the office and the College.

Skills:
Proficiency in basic computer applications and strong organizational skills are required.
The ability to follow directions and perform other duties as assigned is required.Required Qualifications:
This position is a part of the Federal work-study program, to qualify you must be a State Fair Community College student enrolled in the current semester and eligible for Financial Aid thorough the Federal Work-study program.
This position operates in a fast-paced environment and requires strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, as well as a working knowledge of computer applications.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a student-centered approach, and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
A demonstrated commitment to the mission, values, and philosophy of the community college is required.
Physical Requirements:
The ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through written and electronic media is required.
The ability to move throughout campus and to other work-related locations is required.
The ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time is required.
Employment will require a criminal background check at college expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents.
