Arkwright Construction LLC is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Skilled Carpenter to support high-end residential remodeling projects throughout the Chicagoland area. This is a hands-on role for a carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship and can confidently execute quality work across all phases of construction. Youll work closely with project managers, fellow carpenters, and trade partners to deliver beautiful, well-built homes from start to finish.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform high-quality rough and finish carpentry on residential remodeling projects
Execute layout, framing, drywall backing, cabinetry installation, trim, doors, windows, and millwork
Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications
Assist with specialty installations and custom details as required
Work collaboratively with project managers, carpenters, and subcontractors
Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
Ensure work meets company quality standards and project timelines
Communicate effectively with team members regarding task progress and needs
Follow all jobsite safety standards and OSHA requirements
Assist with material handling, staging, and accurate measurements
Support inspections, punch lists, and project closeout tasks
Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction or remodeling
Strong skills in framing, finish carpentry, and general residential construction
Ability to read and understand construction plans and layouts
Solid troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset
Comfortable working with hand and power tools
Valid drivers license and dependable transportation
