Pay Range: $150,000- $200,000 per year

Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: The Director of Patient Care is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. This includes patient care assessment, patient care planning and implementation, and working on patient care quality improvement. This position works in collaboration with the Administrative Director and the Medical Director to meet the Center’s program objectives and help ensure optimal healing outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's is required.
  • Active New Jersey RN licensure or approved compact license is required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is required.
  • Two (2) years of inpatient or outpatient wound experience are required.
  • Certified Wound Care Nurse (WCON, WCC) preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time, Day Shift

Essential Functions:

Program Leadership

  • Support in the evaluation of wound healing services to identify opportunities to improve clinical and financial outcomes and operational efficiencies. Develop procedures, policies, and/or workflows to address identified opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on strategic planning, the establishment and monitoring of outcome measures, and the development of other key performance indicators to improve clinical outcomes and patient experiences.

Service Delivery

  • Provides direct patient care as warranted to maintain expertise and support operations.
  • Serve as a clinical expert and consultant to all staff, providers, and other internal or external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional inpatient and ambulatory clinical teams that work in concert to provide high-quality care to the complex wound population.
  • Conduct performance assessments and evaluations of staff in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Resource Management

  • Identify, communicate, and coordinate resource needs and deployment in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Collaboratively prepare and manage the annual operating expense budget.
  • Support revenue improvement work to include coding or billing functions, supply chain, and other events that impact revenue.
