This role is essential in ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and client-specific safety standards. We take pride in fostering a collaborative, dog-friendly, and employee-centered work environment.Position SummaryThe Safety Coordinator I reports to the Safety Manager and plays a critical role in conducting jobsite evaluations, delivering safety training, managing documentation, and promoting best practices across departments. This position combines field inspections with office-based administrative duties to ensure company-wide safety compliance and awareness.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform safety evaluations at multiple jobsites and ensure immediate correction of deficienciesEnforce OSHA 1926 & 1910 regulations and company safety protocolsConduct and coordinate safety training, including:New employee orientationsFall protectionForklift and aerial lift trainingHazard communication and PPEMaintain training logs and certifications for all employees and subcontractorsConduct accident investigations and root cause analysisFacilitate safety stand-downs and toolbox talksTrack and inspect fire extinguishers, PPE, and safety equipmentPurchase and distribute safety gear and suppliesMaintain accurate safety documentation and reportsAttend department meetings and provide updates on safety performanceEnsure new hires complete orientation before starting in the fieldQualificationsAssociate degree, technical school, or trade program required0–3 years of experience in a safety-related roleOSHA 10 or 30 certification preferredPrior safety experience in construction or general industry preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) requiredValid driver’s license with clean driving recordBasic understanding of construction safety standardsProficient in Microsoft Office and document managementPhysically able to climb ladders, lift 50+ lbs., and work in extreme weatherSuccess MetricsComplete a minimum of 5 jobsite evaluations per month with 100% complianceConduct timely and effective safety trainings and toolbox talksFile accurate injury and inspection reports within 48 hoursEnsure all training certifications are properly documentedMaintain up-to-date inspections of fire extinguishers and AEDsCommunicate safety concerns professionally with field and management teamsWorking ConditionsFieldwork and office-based responsibilitiesExposure to heat and outdoor conditionsMandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Must be able to work in a dog-friendly environmentSubject to random drug and alcohol testing per company and regulatory requirementsEqual Employment Opportunity StatementAdvanced Roofing is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace.
