Position Overview

This is a senior-level residential systems engineering position focused on AV system architecture, residential network design, dedicated cinema engineering, surveillance infrastructure, and power management. You will own the technical architecture of these systems from concept through project release.

What You’ll Do

As the Senior Residential AV & Network Systems Engineer at Realm, you'll play a crucial role in our operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:


  • Engineer distributed residential AV systems with clean signal flow and scalable architecture.

  • Design structured residential network topology, segmentation, and switching strategy.

  • Engineer high-performance private cinema systems.

  • Architect residential surveillance and camera infrastructure.

  • Design rack layouts with airflow, serviceability, and proper power management.

  • Review proposals and change orders for technical accuracy and completeness.

  • Define system logic and programming intent before deployment.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.


Qualifications


  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering preferred.

  • Deep understanding of networking and structured wiring.

  • Experience designing dedicated home cinemas.

  • Strong knowledge of power distribution and thermal management.

  • Ability to produce or guide schematics and rack elevations.

  • Systems-level thinker with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Thrives in both autonomous and collaborative settings.

  • Adept at using AutoCAD and equivalent design software.

  • Pay: $103,000 - $113,000

  • Paid Time Off: 13 PTO days (plus +1 day per year of employment)
