The Executive Partner, Enterprise Strategy is accountable for setting and executing the regional growth strategy. This role serves as the senior leader for existing and business development accounts within the assigned region, responsible for maximizing sustained funding growth, executive engagement & alignment, regional ecosystem development and development of integrated technology solutions.
The Executive Partner, Enterprise Strategy has ultimate accountability for all regional engagement, including large, complex strategic accounts, high-priority key accounts and new business development accounts, ensuring EPRI’s value proposition, offerings, and engagement model are aligned to client priorities, market dynamics, and long-term business objectives.
This role plays a critical leadership role in advancing AI‑enabled innovation in the electric power industry by connecting executive priorities to EPRI’s research, applied technology, and cross‑sector capabilities to accelerate operational improvement, innovation, and industry impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes and owns the regional strategic account vision, including multi-year growth strategies and engagement priorities for Strategic Accounts.
- Serves as the C-suite point of contact for Strategic and Key Accounts within the assigned region, maintaining and expanding relationships with Chief Executive Officers, Chief Strategy Officers and others.
- Drive C-suite executive engagements to originate and shape AI-driven, integrated solutions for the power sector, translating EPRI research and applied technology into prioritized utility AI use cases that improve reliability, operational efficiency, innovation outcomes, and customer experience.
- Partner with technology, consulting, and research leaders to co-develop and advance AI solution pathways—from problem framing and value hypothesis through pilots, demonstrations, and scalable adoption across utilities and emerging industry participants.
- Position AI-enabled solutions as credible, responsible, and value-based investments, aligning executive discussions to business outcomes, governance expectations, and EPRI’s research-backed evidence base to accelerate funding growth and industry adoption. Leads the regional strategic account planning process to align client needs with EPRI’s portfolio and maximize long-term value and sustained funding growth.
- Accountable for regional funding performance and strategic objectives, with performance measured across annual account growth & retention and new business development.
- Collaborates closely with technical leadership to shape offerings and influence portfolio direction based on regional market insights and client priorities.
- Leads, develops, and mentors regional Strategic Account Executives, setting expectations and standards for executive engagement, value delivery, and account discipline.
- Collaborates with key account leads to execute account growth strategies and drive value delivery and communication.
- Provides oversight and guidance on the most complex and high-impact regional engagements, serving as an escalation point for strategic opportunities and risks.
- Represents EPRI at regional and industry-level forums, strengthening organizational credibility, market presence, and executive relationships.
- Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent integration of marketing, value documentation, and client engagement activities across the region.
- Monitors regional market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory developments, providing insights to inform leadership decision-making and account strategy.
- Establishes and manages regional budgets to plan and ensures appropriate stewardship of resources.
- Drives a culture of accountability, collaboration, and strategic thinking across the regional account leadership team.
Education / Experience
- Minimum fifteen years’ experience in leading complex strategic account engagements, sales leadership, or business development within the electric utility or similar technical industry.
- Demonstrated success operating at the executive level, including negotiations, long-term relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Proven experience developing and executing multi‑year regional or portfolio strategies.
- Strong track record of leading and developing high-performing account or sales leadership teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
- Deep understanding of the energy industry, including utility operations and market dynamics.
