This role is a strategic sales position focused on driving growth within the public sector by delivering innovative communications and data technology solutions. You will manage and expand relationships with government, education, and institutional clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the entire sales cycle. Combining technical expertise with strong business acumen, you will identify client needs, design tailored solutions, and close high-value opportunities. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that address complex challenges. You will operate in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a strong emphasis on building long-term partnerships and exceeding revenue targets. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with experience in solution selling and public sector engagement.
- Develop and manage relationships with public sector clients, including government agencies and educational institutions, to drive revenue growth.
- Execute full-cycle sales processes, from prospecting and needs analysis to solution design, proposal development, and deal closure.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts through strategic account planning and relationship building.
- Conduct executive-level presentations and engage with C-suite stakeholders to position tailored solutions.
- Analyze client needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes to develop effective sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline tracking, and reporting in line with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, technical support, and service delivery to ensure successful solution implementation.
- Resolve client issues and escalations promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- 5+ years of experience in sales within communications, networking, or data technology solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working with public sector clients, including K-12, higher education, or state and local government.
- Strong understanding of solution-based selling, particularly in cloud, networking, or security technologies.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level decision-makers.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, sales forecasting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $95,000 to $125,000, plus performance-based incentives.
