This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, privacy, and product innovation within a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The position focuses on advising cross-functional teams on complex legal matters related to data protection, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and product development. You will play a key role in ensuring products are designed and launched with strong privacy-by-design and security principles. The role also involves active participation in incident response and regulatory analysis, helping shape legal strategy in high-impact and time-sensitive situations. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and security teams to enable responsible innovation at scale. This is a highly dynamic position requiring strong judgment, adaptability, and the ability to operate in an evolving legal and technological landscape.
- Provide legal counsel on privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and product-related legal issues in a fast-evolving tech environment
- Support incident response processes by investigating security and privacy incidents and advising on legal and regulatory obligations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development, ensuring privacy-by-design and responsible use of AI/ML technologies
- Review new products and features to assess launch readiness from a legal and compliance perspective
- Advise engineering, security, and threat intelligence teams on risk mitigation, abuse prevention, and platform safety issues
- Contribute to broader incident response programs covering both security and non-security legal matters
- Help ensure alignment between product strategy and global privacy, content, and regulatory frameworks
Requirements:
- 1–3+ years of experience in product counseling, litigation, or legal advisory roles focused on privacy, security, or technology law
- Juris Doctor degree and admission to a US state bar with strong academic credentials
- Solid understanding of data privacy law, cybersecurity, AI/ML, consumer protection, copyright, and content regulation
- Experience working in or advising technology, SaaS, or AI-driven companies preferred
- Strong analytical thinking and sound business judgment in complex and fast-moving situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across legal, engineering, and product teams
- Willingness to support incident response outside of standard business hours when needed
