In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of global port tariff data that powers critical calculation systems used across the organization. You will work with complex pricing and charging structures, translating real-world maritime tariff rules into structured, actionable data and calculation logic. The position sits at the intersection of data analysis, operations, and maritime services, requiring both analytical precision and the ability to handle large-scale, fast-moving datasets. You will collaborate with international stakeholders to validate data sources, resolve inconsistencies, and maintain high standards of data integrity. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining high-quality port tariff master data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across global datasets used for tariff calculations and operational decision-making.
- Collect, interpret, and validate global port tariff data from ports, vendors, and external service providers.
- Analyze complex tariff structures and convert them into structured calculation logic within internal systems.
- Build, test, and maintain tariff calculation models to ensure alignment with real-world port charging practices.
- Perform rigorous data quality checks, ensuring accuracy, consistency, auditability, and version control across datasets.
- Maintain clear documentation of data sources, assumptions, and calculation methodologies for transparency and compliance.
- Manage large volumes of tariff data across multiple global ports while maintaining speed and precision.
- Collaborate with internal teams to clarify requirements and ensure data meets operational, digital, and compliance standards.
- Identify recurring data issues and contribute to standardization and continuous process improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability with experience handling structured data, pricing models, or tariff-related systems in a detail-driven environment.
- 3–4+ years of experience in data analysis, pricing, tariffs, cost modeling, or similar analytical roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex or ambiguous tariff structures.
- Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with SQL and business intelligence or data tools is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to ensure data accuracy and validation at scale.
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads efficiently without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging global stakeholders and clarifying requirements.
- Exposure to logistics, maritime, port operations, or shipping services is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; STEM background is preferred.
