Position Purpose: We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to support our Mortgage Loan Officers in managing the mortgage application process from initial contact through closing. The ideal candidate is fluent in both Spanish and English, highly organized, member-focused and experienced in handling confidential financial information. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Assist Mortgage Loan Officers in gathering, reviewing and organizing loan application documents
  • Communicate with members in both Spanish and English to collect required information and provide updates
  • Help prepare and submit loan files to processing, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Order and track third-party services such as appraisal, title reports and verifications
  • Maintain consistent follow up with members, real estate agents, builders, etc.
  • Monitor loan status and ensure deadlines are met throughout the loan process
  • Input and update borrower information in loan origination software
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and Company Lending Regulations
  • Provide exceptional member service and respond promptly to inquires


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required
  • Familiarity with loan origination software
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of mortgage and/or banking experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field preferred

  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Working Conditions

  • Occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Physically able to participate in meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
  • Some travel may be required between branches and business partners.
