LPN - BFS Urgent Care at Berkshire Health Systems – Pittsfield, Massachusetts

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Licensed Practical Nurse supports the nursing process and functions under the direction of the Medical Director, Mid-level Provider, and /or Clinical Manager. The Licensed Practical Nurse must adhere to policy and procedure for Berkshire Medical Center and Berkshire Faculty Services clinical services.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience:
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
Experience in Urgent Care, phlebotomy, specimen testing, IV therapy preferred.
Education and Training:
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
License, Certification & Registration:
LPN - Licensed Practical Nurses
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice. Data entry skills preferred, Working knowledge of Windows based PC applications required. Ability to work independently and take direction. Self- motivated and ability to be independent and flexible in a team framework. Excellent oral and written communication skills, Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
