Engineering Department Mission Statement

We work directly with both our external and internal customers to fully understand their needs and then develop technical solutions to fill those needs.

Essentials Functions of this role:

The engineering documentation specialists assists our engineering team by documenting our machine designs to help our customers better operate, troubleshoot, and order parts. Also helps with internal documentation to facilitate the manufacturing process. This design process starts with understanding the needs of the customer and ends with as successful installation and a satisfied customer. The engineering documentation specialist will apply technical knowledge with excellent writing and Microsoft office skills to help provide our customers innovative solutions.

We are looking for a career minded individual that is open to working 1st shift hours with occasional weekend overtime. If you are familiar with machinery, have great writing and Microsoft office skills and have a strong customer service-oriented personality, we want to hear from you.

Over the last few years, Reiser has designed production lines for the manufacture of diverse food products such as pizza dough, ground beef, plant-based protein burgers, energy bars, turkey bacon, gluten free bakery items, and packaged cheese snacks.

Requirements:

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Creating user manuals with assistance from engineers. User manuals to include operating instructions, troubleshooting guides, bills of materials, and spare parts lists.
  • Developing technical engineering documents including product data sheets, new product releases.
  • Create assembly instructions.
  • Properly file all documentation to be used by other departments.
  • Assist with entering part and assembly information into our ERP system.
  • Assist engineering as needed with general administration tasks.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint
  • Technical writing
  • Working in an engineered to order environment.
  • Viewing and reading engineered drawings.
  • Inventory management system / MRP software

Additional skills not required to be qualified for the job (nice to haves):

  • AutoCAD / Draftsight 2D CAD experience
  • Solidworks 3D Cad
  • Solidworks EPDM
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Wrike or other similar project management software.
