This role is a highly technical and customer-focused position, ideal for a senior engineer with deep expertise in Oracle databases. You will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, guiding them through implementation, performance optimization, and adoption of a real-time data integration platform. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical database environments, providing hands-on support and strategic guidance. You will collaborate closely with customer teams, technical account managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding, adoption, and continuous improvement. This role blends technical mastery, field engineering, and solution architecture to deliver measurable business value and drive operational excellence. Remote work flexibility allows you to engage with customers across the U.S., while tackling challenging problems in high-stakes, dynamic environments.
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding and implementation process for enterprise clients, focusing on Oracle database integration.
- Guide customers in architecture design, deployment planning, and production onboarding, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Provide hands-on support for Oracle performance tuning, high availability, replication, CDC pipelines, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct technical workshops, onboarding sessions, and architecture reviews tailored to Oracle-based use cases.
- Collaborate with customer success, account management, and support teams to ensure operational excellence and proactive issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain best practices, reference architectures, and technical documentation for Oracle deployments.
- Assist customers with cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud deployments, modernization initiatives, and migration projects.
- Track and report on key account activities, including escalations and product feature requests, to relevant stakeholders.
- 10+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, or Customer Success Engineer.
- 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience managing mission-critical environments.
- Expertise in Oracle architecture, internals, performance tuning, RAC, Active Data Guard, GoldenGate, and OCI.
- Strong ability to interpret AWR/ASH reports, alert logs, and trace files to resolve complex issues.
- Experience with HA/DR strategies, RMAN backups, and Oracle replication.
- Knowledge of Exadata, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Proficiency in multiple database systems (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and programming languages (Java, Python, Shell scripting).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, and enterprise messaging systems (Kafka, JMS).
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Databricks is a plus.
