About This Position

Description:

Essential Purpose: To oversee irrigation technicians, and monitor, regulate, and control irrigation of the golf course to ensure the highest possible standards of appearance and condition.

Essential Duties:

  • To ensure, on a daily basis, proper level of water application to all landscaped areas.
  • To report stations adjustments as needed to supervisor.
  • To coordinate large irrigation repairs and upgrades with supervisor.
  • To repair, replace, or upgrade sprinklers, fittings, and valves as needed to ensure their safe and effective operation. While reporting parts needed.
  • To install new irrigation and electrical pipe, fittings, valves, sprinklers, and controllers, as directed.
  • To receive, load, unload, and store materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • To continually remove trash and other debris from the golf course, as needed to maintain the highest possible standards of appearance and safety.
  • To monitor and maintain, on a daily basis, the operation of the irrigation pumping station.
  • To clean field equipment, trucks, and tractors, as directed.
  • To paint golf course equipment and facility, as directed.
  • To assist, as directed, in the construction or repair of greens, sand traps, tees, rough areas, fairways, planter bed areas, fences, cart paths, and maintenance facilities.
  • To secure Company equipment and property against damage or theft.
  • To communicate all guest requests to an appropriate supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
  • To promote & comply with all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn
  • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
  • To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
  • To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others, including the safe operation of all power-driven machinery.
  • To attend all mandatory meetings, as directed.
  • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
Requirements:

Knowledge + Education: Able to speak English and follow simple verbal instructions. Experienced with operation, maintenance, and repair of large sprinklers, valves, controllers, and other relevant tools and equipment. Must be adept at PVC plastic repairs, and familiar with pipe sizing and fittings. Minimum 3 years of greenskeeping experience with exposure to irrigation, or combination of related training and experience.

Skills: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Learns quickly. Safety­ minded. High quality standards for production and service. Courteous, friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively witl1- little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.

Physical Demands: Stands and walks short distances throughout shift. Occasionally required to handle and move objects weighing up to 80 lbs. over short distances. Bends, stoops, reaches, and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Flexibility and good reflexes required to operate power-driven machinery. Must be able to withstand prolonged exposure to sun.

At-Will Employment: The relationship between Temecula Creek Inn and the employee is for an unspecified period of time and is considered “at will.” This means that the terms and conditions of employment may be changed at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including, but not limited to termination, demotion, promotion, transfer, compensation, benefits, duties and location of work. No one other than the Board of Directors of the Company has the authority to make any verbal or written agreement contrary to this provision and any such agreement must be put in writing and signed by the Board of Directors before it is effective. Tribal Jurisdiction: The relationship between Temecula Creek Inn and the employee is a consensual commercial relationship taking place on tribal land within the Pechanga Indian Reservation and, as such, is subject to the jurisdiction of the Pechanga Tribal Court and the sovereign laws of the Pechanga Band of Indians.
