Line Cook at Ivars, Inc. – Mukilteo, Washington

Ivar's Restaurants, the premier seafood restaurant company in the Pacific Northwest, is now hiring experienced line cooks (grill, pantry, sauté, etc.) to work in the full-service kitchen of our Mukilteo location at 710 Front Street along the Mukilteo waterfront. Positions can be part-time or full-time depending on your availability, and the pay will include an hourly wage between $21.00 and $25.00 plus a share of the tips from our generous guests.

Job requirements include:

• Preparing and cooking food items to company specifications
• Plating prepared foods based on chef's guidance
• Setting up, operating, breaking down, and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Assisting with washing dishes and sanitizing utensils when needed
• Upholding our high restaurant kitchen sanitation and food service safety standards

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a pantry, grill, sauté, or fry cook in a high-volume kitchen (seafood experience a plus), and possess:

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• A love for food and an eye for detail with cooking (knowing weights, measurements, and volumes)
• Ability to learn our restaurant menu and recipes and multi-task in a fast-paced teamwork environment
• Familiarity with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
• Comfortable standing for extended periods of time, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and continuously bend, reach, and twist
• A current Washington State Food Handler Card (we can provide information on how to obtain one)
