Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure Automation (Remote)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Engineering Manager, Infrastructure Automation. In this role, you will oversee the formation and leadership of a dynamic team focused on leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies to automate infrastructure operations. Your efforts will significantly reduce operational toil and enhance the reliability of systems across our partner companys engineering organization. As a pivotal figure, you will not only guide your team in technical vision but also engage deeply in architectural decisions and code reviews, ensuring high-impact outcomes. You'll play a critical part in driving innovation and operational excellence within a globally distributed and collaborative environment.
Accountabilities
  • Build and lead the Infrastructure Automation team of 5 engineers.
  • Define and execute the AI automation strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead the development of AI agents for automating DevOps and SRE tasks.
  • Develop intelligent agents for automating database operations.
  • Ensure the reliability and quality of automation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and drive automation initiatives.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years in a people management or technical leadership role.
  • Strong background in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Aliyun.
  • Hands-on experience with SRE practices and operational runbooks.
  • Proficiency in backend programming languages like Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies or LLM-based systems.
  • Solid understanding of database systems and DBA operations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
