This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SAP ISU FSM Technical Consultant in India.
This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting SAP Field Service Management (FSM) solutions within the utilities domain, with a strong emphasis on integration with SAP IS-U systems. You will play a key role in building and maintaining end-to-end technical solutions that support field service operations such as service orders, meter processes, and device management activities. The position involves close collaboration with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable SAP configurations and integrations. You will work across both implementation and application management services (AMS), ensuring system stability, performance, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong technical depth in SAP development as well as a solid understanding of utility industry processes. This is a hands-on position where your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and service delivery in large-scale SAP environments.
Accountabilities:- Design, develop, and enhance SAP FSM modules including planning, dispatching, activity management, and service call functionalities.
- Build and maintain integrations between SAP IS-U and SAP FSM, ensuring smooth inbound and outbound data flows.
- Develop integration scenarios for service orders, meter-related processes, device management, and technical master data synchronization.
- Configure and manage checklist templates, UDFs, UDOs, and business rules within SAP FSM.
- Work with Proaxia FSM Connector, including IDoc handling, queue monitoring, and middleware troubleshooting.
- Develop SAP enhancements using ABAP, CDS views, OData, BADI, BAPI, and RFC frameworks.
- Support implementation and AMS activities including testing, production support, issue resolution, and end-user training.
- Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to optimize system performance and usability.
- 5–10 years of experience in SAP consulting and development, preferably in the utilities domain.
- At least two full-cycle SAP FSM implementation projects.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP IS-U and SAP FSM modules.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP, CDS views, OData services, BADI, BAPI, and RFC.
- Experience with integration between SAP IS-U and FSM, including IDocs and web services.
- Solid understanding of device management, service management, and plant maintenance processes.
- Familiarity with billing and invoicing concepts in SAP IS-U is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in both implementation and support (AMS) environments.
