Department Features
The Heart and Vascular prep and recovery area at Anmed includes a 13-bed prep/recovery area for various heart procedures originating from the Cath/EP labs. Procedures include Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology, Structural heart, Diagnostic and Interventional Vascular, Electrophysiology, Laser Atherectomy and Device Implants (Pacemakers, Defibrillators), and comprehensive open-heart services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide primary care nursing, including pre and postrecovery care, and patient education in the reassessment area
- Participate in patient care delivery in accordance with the multidisciplinary plan of care
- Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to patients of varying ages and diverse cultural backgrounds
- Manage and coordinate care for an assigned group of patients and their families using independent clinical judgment
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families
- Promote desired patient outcomes and continuity of care across the full continuum of care
Qualifications
AnMed will accept applications from Graduate Nurses that meet SC LLR criteria.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
- 0-1 year experience for entry level staff nurse positions
- BSN preferred, ADN candidates must be enrolled in BSN program within 18 months of hire date. BSN required within 4 years from date of hire.
- BLS preferred, Successful completion of hospital provided BLS course within 90 days from date of hire.
- Continues to learn and grow professionally through accepting assignments with differing patient load and complexity, clinical development programs, and involvement in professional organization.
- **AnMed associate degree nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and continue to work as an acute care Staff Nurse since that date, were “grandfathered” and the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years does not apply**
