About This Position

cFocus Software seeks a Sr. Test Engineer to join our program supporting the United States Secret Services (USSS). This position is remote. This position requires the ability a Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in system, application, or integration testing.
  • Demonstrated experience testing enterprise IT or GIS platforms.
  • Experience developing automated test scripts for web applications.
  • Strong understanding of SELC, SDLC, and Agile testing methodologies.
  • Experience supporting DHS or Federal IT testing environments.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Tier 4a Background Investigation.
Duties:
  • Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures aligned with SELC requirements.
  • Lead Integration and Test (I&T) activities for Enterprise GIS components, applications, and services.
  • Design and implement automated end-to-end (E2E) testing for web-based GIS applications.
  • Perform Developmental Testing (DT) and Operational Testing (OT) in accordance with DHS testing guidance.
  • Execute functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing across all hosting environments.
  • Validate front-end GIS user workflows, data pipelines, and system integrations.
  • Support Section 508 accessibility testing and documentation requirements.
  • Identify, document, track, and report defects, risks, and remediation recommendations.
  • Coordinate testing activities with developers, system architects, cybersecurity staff, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct weekly demonstrations of integrated features for Government acceptance.
  • Ensure system documentation is updated to reflect tested and accepted changes.
  • Provide estimates for defect remediation effort and integration feasibility.
  • Support CI/CD testing pipelines and version control workflows.
