Technical Specialist Remote at Eastern Engineered Wood Products Inc – Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Summary
Prepares clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Read blueprints

• Analyze load development

• Produce layout drawing using design software

• Communicate with customers, architects, and builders

• Prepare quotes

• Update SharePoint

• Review layouts by technical design team members and provide feedback

• Maintain & coordinate design center schedule

• Answer general technical calls

• Miscellaneous projects as assigned

Education and/or Experience
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and have knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Drawing Program software. Knowledge of BisTrack is a plus.
