GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Schedule and coordinate workshop requests; provide general office assistance in support of special projects and annual events.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Director and Manager of Operations at The John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition at Framingham State University

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

N/A

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor incoming workshop requests
  • Contact workshop instructors to check availability
  • Communicate with schools and instructors to coordinate and confirm logistical details
  • Order workshop materials from print services department
  • Mail workshop materials to instructors
  • Create and distribute Certificates of Group Training
  • Provide general office assistance as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS:

In-person in the JSI office at Framingham State University.



Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time office work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Highly professional with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Detail oriented with proven organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for professional and positive interactions with all levels of personnel inside and outside the department
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software tools and systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred


Additional Information:

This is a part-time, non-benefited contract position for 7-10 hours/week. The scheduled hours are Monday and Wednesdays. The pay rate is $25 per hour.
