About This Position
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Schedule and coordinate workshop requests; provide general office assistance in support of special projects and annual events.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Director and Manager of Operations at The John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition at Framingham State University
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor incoming workshop requests
- Contact workshop instructors to check availability
- Communicate with schools and instructors to coordinate and confirm logistical details
- Order workshop materials from print services department
- Mail workshop materials to instructors
- Create and distribute Certificates of Group Training
- Provide general office assistance as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS:
In-person in the JSI office at Framingham State University.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time office work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Highly professional with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Detail oriented with proven organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for professional and positive interactions with all levels of personnel inside and outside the department
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software tools and systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
Additional Information:
This is a part-time, non-benefited contract position for 7-10 hours/week. The scheduled hours are Monday and Wednesdays. The pay rate is $25 per hour.
