Zubatkin Owner Representation (“ZOR”), a Cumming Group Company was established in 1994 and primarily serves not-for-profit organizations, including museums, performing arts, educational and religious institutions, across the East Coast of the United States. The focus of our practice is to assist in the strategic planning, design, and construction of capital projects. Our diverse portfolio spans all aspects of a project’s development – from initial real estate analysis, master planning and programming through design, construction and move-in – for both new construction and renovation and expansion projects.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager based in New York, NY. The Assistant Project Manager reports to the Principal, Vice President, Senior Project Manager and will assist the Senior Project Manager/Project Manager with the daily management, coordination, and successful completion of construction projects. He/ she will function as a project team member, have an understanding of the scope of the project, be familiar with project participants, coordinating with both internal and external project teams. Assistant Project manager is capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function as an adjunct to the Project Manager and completing tasks as assigned.

  • Assist with the development and review of internal and external reports including project budgeting, project cash flow forecast and project status reports.

  • Analyze data from consultants.

  • Prepare Client deliverables for review, researching means, methods, and best practices, and conducting site visits and inspections.

  • Effectively manage a variety of work to required standards of quality, quantity, and timeliness.

  • Communicate clearly and inclusively at all levels.

  • Thoroughly review, interpret, and understand the project specifications and contract drawings.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, analyses, research, interviews as needed.

  • Produce tracking logs, research matrices, and RFQ/RFPs and comparison charts for various Owner consultants. Participate in consultant interviews as required. Draft and edit contract documents as needed.

  • Report to ownership team, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, and track required follow-ups items as required.

  • Track master project budgets and schedules for respective projects through all phases of design and construction.

  • Weekly progress report with photo documentation.

  • Change Order/Exposure Log data input and updating of report for RCG on a weekly basis.

  • Create meeting minutes for OAC and other meetings as required.

  • Update Project Priority List items during working session with RCG.

  • Assist with the monthly project report.

  • Upload invoices to RCG (CDTS system).

  • Download drawings and project information into Procore.

  • Provide support to Principals, Project Directors, and PMs as needed, including but not limited to developing, reviewing, and/or maintaining logs for: RFQ/RFP; RFI; Change Orders; Invoices & Payments; Contract Documents.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Developing knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequences.

  • Superior written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field is highly preferred.

  • 3+ years' of experience in design or construction-related field.

  • Proficient in PC based scheduling and spreadsheet applications, including MS Project and Excel.

  • Demonstrate a general knowledge in these areas: design management, estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, financial reporting,

  • Ability to work in team environment.

  • Strong technical and communication skills.

The salary range for this full-time role is $81,500.00-$108,700.01 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
