About This Position

Scheduler - Home Health

The Scheduler - Home Health is responsible for performing secretarial, clerical, communication, customer service, basic medical terminology, interacting directly with the clerical and clinical staff.
Personnel in this position must understand and operate information systems software including, but not limited to Electronic Medical Record and the copy/fax system. This position is also responsible for exercising judgment while performing services in a demeanor complimentary to customer service and medical ethics.
Education: GED/High School Diploma Required

Additional Education Requirements: Additional education in business or medical field preferred.

Additional Experience Requirements:

Previous experience in a medical setting involving clerical and basic medical terminology preferred.
Able to provide precise secretarial assistance to customers, coworkers and supervisors.
Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner.
Able to successfully operate office equipment and perform data entry tasks.
Able to accomplish several tasks at a time.
Has a grasp of root words in medical terminology.
Able to work well under pressure of deadlines.
Able to successfully interact with computers making use of software programs, data entry, archival and retrieval applications.
Able to demonstrate the understanding of continuum of care, customer recovery, and advanced customer service.
