Compensation: Starts at $34.00/hour based on education, experience, certification, and internal equity

What You’ll Do as a Registered Nurse-
Provide direct and indirect patient care that meets each patient’s physical, psychosocial, and restorative needs.

Deliver nursing care guided by ethical practice, compassion, and respect for the dignity and individuality of every patient.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, physicians, leadership, and care team members.

Respond quickly and accurately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.

Perform nursing duties within the scope of licensure and in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and the Nurse Practice Act.

Delegate tasks appropriately and support teamwork to promote a healthy, collaborative work environment.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support quality outcomes and patient safety.

Assist coworkers, patients, families, and visitors as needed, regardless of assignment, within scope of practice.

Demonstrate accountability, efficiency, and professionalism in daily practice.

Support quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives aimed at achieving top-decile outcomes.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Previous Registered Nurse experience required
-
One (1) year of experience in a similar role with comparable scope preferred

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required at time of hire
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required certifications must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.

Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians, and the public

Strong clinical judgment and ability to deliver safe, effective patient care within legal and organizational standards

Knowledge of the continuum of nursing care within the assigned care setting

Exceptional customer service and patient-centered approach

Ability to work within the chain of command and contribute positively to team dynamics

Ability to lift, position, push, pull, and/or transfer patients weighing 50+ pounds

Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching
-
Manual dexterity and functional mobility for patient care activities
-
Near visual acuity for detailed work (20 inches or less)

Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
-
Frequent exposure to mechanical, electrical, and environmental hazards
-
Occasional exposure to unpleasant odors, chemicals, and accident-related hazards
-
Requires flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations

Extended periods of standing and walking (8+ hours per shift)
-
Occasional exposure to ionizing and non-ionizing radiation
