LAB ASST ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR

Lab Assistant Administrative Director

Description:

The ability to work independently and to be highly self-motivated

Demonstration of exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills Must possess an in-depth understanding of Laboratory Information Systems and their functions

Must have basic knowledge of capital and operations budgeting processes; financial management of laboratory operations

Must have knowledge of regulatory agencies and compliance, including but not limited to: OSHA, GDHR, CAP, AABB, JCAHO, CMS, OIG

Must understand the laboratory coding and billing processes

Experience/Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry required

Graduate degree in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred

Certification by ASCP or other nationally recognized certification agency (acceptability of the certifying agency to be

determined by the Administrative Director)

Maintenance of Certification is encouraged during employment with John D. Archbold Medical Center

Continuing education required throughout employment

A minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience

A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
