Youth Support Specialist (DSP)- Youngstown

Youth Support Specialist (DSP)
A Great Opportunity / Part Time OPENINGS/ All Shifts available / $18.25-$19.25 per hour
At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Apply today and make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve!
We are looking for:
  • Individuals who have experience working with youth, and comfortable with working alongside clients with possible high behaviors.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
  • Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
  • Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  • Providing personal care assistance.
Requirements for this position include:
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
  • Valid OH driver's license and car insurance.
  • Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
  • Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
