Job Summary:
-
Provides reporting, interpretation, analysis, and monitoring of clinical and operational data to assist with improving patient outcomes and operational effectiveness. May function as a facilitator, and/or project manager as required. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate closing of charts, maintaining detailed records to ensure regulatory requirements, coordination with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting, conducting regular audits of perioperative processes and documentation to ensure adherence to established protocols and identify areas for improvement, lead and participate in quality initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care, reducing errors, and streamlining perioperative procedures, and providing guidance and mentorship to perioperative staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field preferred, relevant experience may substitute. RN with Operating Room or Performance Improvement/Quality background preferred.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
-
Certification in Healthcare Quality or Surgical Services preferred

Experience:
-
Minimum five years’ experience in healthcare database management and/or related healthcare quality consulting or Surgery experience. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve shared goals.

Other Requirements:
-
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.

Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Ability to facilitate an interdisciplinary team to defined outcomes in a timely manner.

Ability to perform duties and maintain data in a confidential manner.

Ability to initiate and conduct effective two-way communication and working relationships with all audiences to foster ongoing information exchange during the development and implementation of clinical and operational initiatives.

Ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a timely and quality-focused manner.
