This role performs a combination of tasks including but not limited to repairing commercial laundry equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Work can be done on-site at customer locations. A company work van will be provided to be used to begin workday from home.

$20 Hourly Rate


Service Technician - Duties & Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair commercial laundry equipment.Install replacement parts as needed.Accurately document all service activities, including time and materials.Accurately document all travel activities, including mileage and fuel purchases.Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair work to ensure satisfaction.Communicate effectively with the service manager, parts department, and vendors to facilitate accurate work product.Maintain tools, service equipment, and a service vehicle.Troubleshoot equipment and identify replacement parts through schematic drawings.Drive and maintain a company service vanStock service van with necessary tools and equipmentIdentify damaged materials and record material shortagesLoad and unload needed materials onto and from a variety of containers, including but not limited to trucks, conveyors, racks, pallets, and/or trays; utilize appropriate tools to accomplish tasksTransport incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate toolsLift heavy objects by hand (50-100 pounds)Maintain a safe and clean working environmentWear appropriate PPE as neededWork effectively with limited direct supervisionWork overtime as needed with occasional overnight staysParticipate in quality improvement effortsPerform required administrative tasks and prepare all required reports and correspondenceInput schedule and daily reports into the service software systemPerform other duties as assigned by the manager

Service Technician - Qualifications:

Valid drivers license Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsExperience servicing and repairing floor cleaning equipment is preferredSolid electro-mechanical knowledgeWilling to train the right mechanically inclined individualA background in electrical work is preferred to be trainedBasic Microsoft Office, including Outlook, is helpfulAbility to work with minimal supervisionCommitment to excellence and high standardsStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsAbility to manage priorities and workflowVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmAcute attention to detailProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to understand and follow written and verbal instructionsExcellent time management skillsConfidence in working in a deadline-driven environmentExcellent customer service skillsAbility to think creatively, prioritize and multi-taskDetail-oriented, proactive, and self-directedAbility to work independently and as a member of various teamsAbility to pass company background screening, motor vehicle report and drug testing requirements

Service Technician - Physical Requirements:

Lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance.Carry equipment, tools, motors, etc., into facilities – often long walks to reach a destination.Stoop, climb or crawl over/under machines, tables, pipes, buckets, etc. to reach equipmentDrive for long periods of time (sitting)Wear appropriate safety equipment

Brame uses the EOS Management System. All employees will participate in regularly scheduled L10 Meetings to discuss departmental issues and suggest opportunities for improvement. All Manager and Supervisors are required to have quarterly conversations with each of their direct reports.
