RN ST: RN Staff at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

WK Pierremont has 12 LDRP rooms, 2 C-section operating rooms, and a Level 1 Nursery. We are seeking an RN with 2–3 years of labor and delivery experience. The RN will be providing nursing care to routine obstetric patients, routine postpartum patients, routine newborn care, and GYN surgery patients. Responsibilities will also include circulating in the operating room and recovery care for post-anesthesia patients following C-sections. The role includes couplet care for both the postpartum patient and newborn. AWHONN staffing guidelines are followed, with the nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1-2 for L&D/antepartum and 3 couplets for PP/Nsy care. The experienced RN selected for this position will have an extensive orientation with a preceptor. Nurses transferring to this unit are also afforded an orientation tailored to their specific needs. ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. are preferred but can be obtained through our Training and Development Center free of charge to hospital employees.
