Molding Operator 1 at MICRON PRODUCTS – fitchburg, Massachusetts

I. JOB PURPOSE

Inspects and packages manufactured plastic products and monitors and maintains equipment to ensure compliance with customer specifications, by performing the following duties.

II. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Read and follow Work Instructions when applicable to a specific job.
• Assure product quality through visual inspection of products for defects and report any defects immediately
• Package product accordingly. Follow work instructions when applicable
• Log into jobs on ERP system IQMS, daily to show specific job worked on
• Print labels throughout shift for full box quantities only, and scan labels to reflect inventory in IQMS
• Verify printed label content is accurate to the product running
• Complete in-process documentation and records according to cGDP (shop routers)
• Monitor injection molding machines and equipment for problems and report any issues to Lead or Process Technician Shift Supervisor
• Learn and understand our Quality Policy, Statement and Objectives and maintain a basic understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 13485
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including training and proper use of PPE
• Maintain effective housekeeping in all areas assigned
• Recommend improvements to safety, housekeeping, product, or process improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned

III. JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions
• Ability to understand verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills to input daily information
• Experience with product testing and testing equipment/tools preferred
