Journeyman Electrician at McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. – Tomball, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY
The Journeymen Electricians will support the Field Services Group in Tomball, TX, with a focus on projects within the Water Business Unit. This role is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Terminate combiner boxes
• Panel/LV work
• Install metering equipment
• Layout, bend, thread and install conduit
• Layout and install switchgear, switchboards and electrical devices
• Trench with shovel and install PVC raceway
• Pull and terminate aluminum direct bury wire
• Connect and support DC wire
• Install electrical enclosures
• Supervise the work of apprentices
• Unload and stage material
• Perform electrical testing and commissioning

QUALIFICATIONS
• Electrical Journeyman License Required
• Minimum 4 years experience
• Water experience preferred
• General knowledge of construction principles/processes required
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction projects
• Must have a tape measure, level, and side cutting pliers (Linemans)
• Proven commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Age 18+
• Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
