DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acquaints all patients with the office procedures to which they will be exposed and informs them of the purpose of all tests performed, as well as how they will be affected.
Advises patients of who will see them next and maintains a smooth flow of patients to the physician.
Performs visual field testing, OCT scanning, corneal topography, A Scans, B Scans, and ophthalmic imaging including fluorescein angiography and fundus photography.
Maintains sanitary conditions in diagnostic and procedure rooms and ensures par levels of replacement inventory.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of ophthalmic conditions and ancillary testing.
Knowledge of EHR (NextGen).
Technical skills to operate various computers and imaging equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to be empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED.
Three or more years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician and/or technical school training.
Some college (preferred).
COA or COT (preferred).

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an ophthalmology setting. Wage will be determined based on the experience and training of the candidate. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.

POSITION LOCATION: EYE-Q Vision Care practice sites are located in Fresno, Clovis, and Selma.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday

PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and certifications.
