DC Engineering is growing—and so is our need for dedicated electrical professionals. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer or an Electrical Designer to support our rapidly expanding workload in arc flash studies and general electrical design.
This role offers an opportunity to build specialized expertise while contributing to a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. You’ll join a supportive, highly technical team committed to delivering reliable, well-coordinated engineering solutions.
Job Duties:
In this role, you will support both arc flash analysis efforts and traditional electrical design tasks, including:
Arc Flash & Power System Studies
- Perform arc flash studies, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination.
- Model electrical systems using industry-standard power system analysis software.
- Support data collection, documentation, and quality control for study deliverables.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to review and refine study results.
Electrical Design Responsibilities
- Assist in designing electrical systems that meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Participate in project development from planning through design and execution.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely project delivery.
- Contribute to a variety of commercial and industrial design projects.

Requirements:For Entry-Level Electrical Engineer (0–2 years):
- Degree from an ABET-accredited electrical engineering program.
- EIT certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
For Electrical Designer / Engineer (2–4+ years):
- 2+ years of experience in electrical design or power systems analysis.
- Experience with electrical system modeling software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, EasyPower) is a plus.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and industry design standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior commercial or industrial electrical design experience.
- Knowledge of arc flash study methodology.
- Understanding of project management principles and multi-discipline coordination.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
