ABOUT THE POSITION (Onsite)
Serve as a liaison-sales representative to hospital and clinic staff with the goals of raising awareness of Infusion Services and strengthening partnerships to grow business through referrals to Infusion Services.
As a liaison, you will educate patients, physicians, case managers, clinic staff, and all customers regarding infusion therapy, transitional care management, and Infusion Services. You will facilitate timely placement of patients requiring home infusion/infusion suite or enteral services by gathering data and collaborating with the referral source, including initial patient set-up. The majority of responsibilities will be spent interfacing with healthcare professionals and hospital staff to strengthen partnerships and grow business through referrals.
Candidates are sales professionals who are highly motivated self-starters and have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work independently and effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be a team player with a positive attitude who works well in a cross-functional, matrixed environment. Local travel is required with mileage reimbursement to cover this expense
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides a positive and effective representation of Home Infusion and Pharmacy Services and introduces the full scope of services offered to hospital case managers, physicians, nursing agencies and other referral sources.
- Works closely with the Home Infusion leader to market and grow Home Infusion Services and maintains positive referral source relationships through responsive customer service with referral sources and patients.
- Collaborates with referral sources to facilitate the coordination of care for new patient and to provide clinical support. Coordinates and communicates discharge planning activities relating to home infusion therapy with the Home Infusion Pharmacy, hospital/facility and referral sources.
- Educate patients, physicians, case managers, clinic staff, and all customers regarding infusion therapy, transitional care management, and other Home Infusion services.
- Facilitate timely placement of patients requiring home infusion or enteral services by gathering data and collaborating with referral sources.
- Interface with healthcare professionals and hospital staff to strengthen partnerships and grow business through referrals.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of core therapy referrals and qualifying criteria by payor source.
- Ensures ongoing updates and education for referral sources and patients.
- Assists referral sources and patients with the identification of appropriate candidates for home infusion.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
Required: Bachelor's or Associate degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, health care or a related field.
Experience
Required: Minimum of three (3) years sales experience. Minimum two (2) years working in health care or pharmacy organization. Basic level skill in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred: Healthcare Sales/marketing experience. Experience with Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, or Home Health. Intermediate level skill in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Licensure
Required: Valid State Drivers license with good driving record.
Special Skills:
Thorough knowledge of computer systems and the ability to effectively utilize software applications (specifically Microsoft Word®, Excel® and Power Point®) to support Home Infusion Services. Good problem solver with the ability to define, clarify and set priorities for producing quality results within established timeframes. Ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment. A team player with a positive attitude who works well in a cross-functional team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills and a sound work ethic. Excellent planning, organizational and time-management skills. Ensures short-term plans are aligned with and supportive of organization goals and long-term objectives. Continually seek ways to improve performance. Demonstrates a high level of personal motivation and commitment to achieve results. Regularly monitors own performance to ensure goals and expectations are successfully achieved. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers.
Compensation and Benefits: We offer competitive salary and benefits for this full-time salaried role. Employees in this role may also be eligible for quarterly sales bonuses based on performance.
