The Role
We are seeking a reliable, safety‑conscious Van Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our operations team. Reporting to the Central Warehouse Supervisor this hybrid role involves ensuring the accurate preparation and timely delivery of goods to the store network, while supporting the efficient running of the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be organised, physically fit, customer‑focused, and able to work well in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery (approx. 50%)
Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to our store network across London and the home counties.
Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
Load and unload items ensuring goods are secure and handled correctly.
Complete all necessary delivery paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle check sheets.
Provide excellent customer service at delivery points, representing the company professionally.
Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues immediately.
Warehouse Operations (approx. 50%)
Receive, check, and store incoming goods in accordance with procedures.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
Assist with inventory counts, inventory checks, and general warehouse administration.
Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Consistency of inventory put away to allow for ease of subsequent picking and integrity.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Full, clean UK driving license
Previous experience in a driving or warehouse role
Good understanding of safe manual handling practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high performance standards.
Desirable
Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
Local route knowledge.
