About This Position
Responsibilities and Duties: Under the supervision of the Director of Family and Prevention Services, the primary responsibility of the Licensed Armed Security Guard will be to maintain a secure clinic-based environment. The Licensed Armed Security Guard must balance a commanding, authoritative presence with exceptional de-escalation and crisis management skills. The Licensed Armed Security Guard will be responsible for access control, enforcing staggered arrival/departure protocols, monitoring interactions for safety, and responding swiftly to any threats or breaches of clinic policy.
MillarRich is a trauma-informed organization that values empathy, open communication, and respectful collaboration. The Licensed Armed Security Guard demonstrates a strong awareness of how trauma can impact individuals and communities and approaches their work with compassion, cultural humility, and a commitment to inclusivity.

- Assists with basic front-desk duties including, but not limited to, greeting visitors, verifying appointments, and ensuring proper check-in procedures;
- Supports documentation and data-entry tasks such as logging visitor activity, updating shift notes, and submitting required forms or reports in accordance with clinic protocols, as needed;
- Coordinates with program staff to ensure smooth operational flow, including communicating delays, transitions between families, or emergent issues requiring team awareness;
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, court mandates, and accreditation standards;
