This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to drive growth and strategic expansion within a dynamic and fast-moving environment. The Director, Business Development will focus on cultivating and expanding relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and developing tailored strategies to maximize value. This role involves leading the sales process from prospecting to proposal, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring client satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with operations, project managers, and executive leadership to align business development strategies with organizational objectives. Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking, industry expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and drive impactful results across multiple accounts.
Develop and execute strategic business plans for client acquisition and account expansion.
Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers across accounts, gaining deep understanding of their organizational structure and needs.
Lead the sales process end-to-end, including prospecting, pitching, proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and project management, to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address issues, changes in scope, or new opportunities.
Represent the organization at industry events, facilitating meetings, networking, and follow-up with potential clients.
Share account strategies and insights internally to drive alignment and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
University degree in health sciences or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
3–5 years of business development or sales experience, preferably within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or healthcare services sector.
Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships, with strong account management skills.
Demonstrated success in strategic sales planning, proposal development, and negotiation.
Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM tools.
Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
