Our California division, located in Huntington Beach, is seeking a CMM Programmer.
Summary
Seeking a CMM Programmer / Inspector working with PC-DMIS CAD++ on Hexagon metrology CMMs with 5 years of programming experience and ITAR eligibility generally fits into a mid-level to senior metrology role, especially in aerospace, defense, automotive, and precision manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program and run CMM inspections using PC-DMIS CAD++ (offline and online).
- Interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Develop, create, and implement CMM inspection routines for complex parts from Solid works models.
- Validate and optimize programs for repeatability and cycle time.
- Perform first article inspection to comply with AS9102 First Article Inspection and OATF-16949 Automotive PPAP requirements.
- Analyze measurement results and create inspection reports.
- Work with engineering, machining, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues.
- Maintain CMM calibration and probe qualification.
- Experience with scanning probes or complex surfaces
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Preferred experience with:
- Hexagon CMM platforms
- PC-DMIS CAD++
- Scanning probes Renishaw SP25M and Contact probes with TP20 or similar
- CAD imports from SolidWorks
Seeking individual with the following Skill sets
- Advanced scanning strategies in PC-DMIS
- GD&T expert level
- Statistical process control
- Process capability studies (Cp, Cpk)
- SPC monitoring
- Experience with Excel, Minitab, or other SPC software’s.
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA) including gage R&R
