About This Position

Carter’s Christian Academy partners with parents to prepare scholars spiritually, academically and in accordance with their God-given potential to be in the world and not of the world. Using a strong biblical foundation to assist them in the development of Christian character, enabling them to handle the rigors of life with courage.

CCA Mission: We strive to instill in each child a love for God, learning and knowledge; by developing in them a strong biblical foundation.

CCA middle school teachers really make a difference in scholars' lives. CCA Middle school teachers provide a rigorous learning environment for their scholars, helping them develop as individuals, helping them master the subjects they need to succeed, and setting a spiritual environment in their classroom. You will be responsible for developing lesson plans and then implementing those plans in the classroom, giving you the flexibility to tailor your lessons to both you and your students’ interests and strengths. This can extend outside the classroom, as many middle school teachers also assist with coaching sports and school clubs and extracurricular activities. More than anything else, middle school teachers must develop their student’s unique talents and foster in them a passion for learning and growing. CCA middle school teachers must be able to implement and enforce classroom and school rules, with a strong handle on classroom management.

At CCA we would like our middle school teachers to have at least 2 years of experience and a Master's degree in teaching, but it is not required. One of the most important skills that a CCA middle school teacher will need is their ability to control a classroom. Another skill is empathy as the middle school teacher will need to relate to their scholars. They also need to be able to report their classroom progress to the principal and dean.
