About This Position
Job Summary: The Director Procurement Operations and Data Integrity (PODI) is responsible for all operations related to the procurement lifecycle, including working with customers in requisitioning and procuring goods, equipment and services across WMCHealth. This includes working with vendors and finance to create and maintain processes for minimizing disruptions and errors in the procurement lifecycle such as match exceptions and open POs. The Director is also responsible for managing technology and analytics related to the procurement lifecycle including ERP functional maintenance and operation, data integrity, and data library maintenance. This position leads the development of Procurement information systems and application programs and identifies opportunities to standardize data and processes using technology. The Director ensures the team is responsible for the integrity of system data, reporting and collaboration related to purchasing and payables policy, compliance, training and other Procurement implemented technologies. This role collaborates with Accounts Payable (AP), Information Tech (IT), Information Security (ISD) and other departments to implement systems, maintain current systems and ensure continuous development and enhancement of Procurement technologies. The Director leads the team that manages escalated end user issues, supplier library data management, item library data management, electronic catalogs, contract pricing changes, and performs enterprise-wide procurement analytics to influence business strategies, improve processes, and support identification of significant cost savings opportunities. The position is responsible for managing a staff in pursuit of its activities. The role must ensure administrative compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
Responsibilities:
· Adhere to and support the overall Mission, Vision, and Strategies of WMCHealth
· Accountable for accurate and efficient purchase order workflow from approved order requisition to receipt and timely resolution of delays and/or unexpected logistical challenges
· Responsible to design, monitor and ensure sourcing and procurement system, item library, procedures and activities.
· Maintain oversight of the complete procurement lifecycle, including requisitioning. Purchase order creation and management, and customer notification as required.
· Monitors procurement activities ensuring system policy and contract compliance, and system financial integrity; checks requisitions and purchase orders prepared by division staff for clarification.
· Has oversight of communication with customers on status of purchase orders.
· Leads the procurement operations data integrity team, ensuring the integrity of systems and applications used to support Procurement and Accounts Payable functions and other applicable departments.
· Leads development of Procurement systems and applications and identifies opportunities to standardize data and processes using technology.
· Provides cross functional expertise and acts as liaison between procurement users, end users and IT/Tech support teams and serves as an application expert. Leads development, implementation and testing of system wide Procurement and AP tools/systems.
· Directs day-day monitoring, supplier and item library data management, and analysis and resolution of end user inquiries. Establishes guidelines and escalation criteria for routing of incoming inquiries in collaboration with others as required.
· Identify and assess existing procurement technology and analytics that support the procurement program; identify new procurement technology needs as required and identify internal and external resources and/or partners to satisfy these needs.
· Employs strong influence and change management skills to sell ideas and communicate a compelling case for change.
· Recruit, develop and retain staff that executes work in an efficient and effective manner in support of goals, while maintain accountability for that staff.
· Creates a culture of high performance and service throughout the Supply Chain.
· Eliminate barriers and resolve escalated procurement issues. Assertively champion a culture of continuous improvement within the PODI function.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years' experience as a Manager; or 5+ years' experience in a senior managerial role. Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact. Demonstrated experience managing one or more departments. Excellent analytical ability, including interpreting data and developing recommendations based on analysis.Excellent planning ability, including identification of critical success factors, key obstacles, and risks. Focus on key outcomes, not only processes or activities.Demonstrated ability to identify and balance interests of a variety of key stakeholders.
Education: Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required and three years experience will be considered for candidates with significant qualifications and portfolio of healthcare supply chain, procurement, and/or strategic sourcing experience.
Licenses / Certifications: Relevant certification and/or Lean certification preferred.
