Lead Product Design Engineer (REMOTE)
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Designer - REMOTE. This role will have a significant impact on enhancing the e-commerce experiences of the companys brands, helping to craft designs that not only look good but also ensure customer satisfaction. The designer will be integral in collaborating with various teams to translate insights into effective digital experiences, influencing many users. With a focus on quality and business impact, this position offers a chance to work within a vibrant, data-driven environment. The right candidate will lead design processes from conception to final implementation, contributing to innovative solutions that meet user needs.
Accountabilities- Lead the design direction for e-commerce experiences, balancing quality, speed, and impact.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Marketing teams to translate goals into effective digital solutions.
- Own the design process from concept to final UI, ensuring polished and scalable experiences.
- Contribute to the evolution of design systems and UI components for consistency across brands.
- Maintain design system standards and Figma libraries to drive efficiency.
- Apply judgment to define design goals and recommend usability improvements.
- Build cross-functional relationships with teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide design expertise to elevate user experience quality.
- Mentor junior designers, fostering a high standard of craft and feedback.
- Create prototypes in Figma to validate concepts and communicate designs.
- Stay updated on trends and best practices in product design and e-commerce.
- Partner with Engineering to ensure high-fidelity design implementation.
- 5+ years of experience in product design for eCommerce platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent fundamentals in typography, layout, and interaction design.
- Proven ability to deliver designs balancing user needs and technical constraints.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma for creating user flows and interactive prototypes.
- Experience in building and evolving design systems in Figma.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and data-informed design processes.
- Experience using Notion and Jira for project management.
- Ability to work with senior leadership to align on product vision.
- Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions.
- Experience mentoring junior designers.
- Independent judgment and discretion for resolving complex problems.
