About This Position

Senior Vice President of Paid Media

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Vice President of Paid Media in Canada.

In this senior leadership role, you will own the strategic, operational, and commercial performance of a $15M P&L spanning Paid Media, Programmatic, and Creative functions. You will act as a high-level operator who ensures quality, consistency, and business impact across multi-channel performance marketing engagements. Rather than managing day-to-day campaign execution, you will focus on inspecting critical moments in client delivery, shaping strategic direction, and enabling strong operational leadership through your Associate Directors. You will be responsible for ensuring client success, retention, and expansion by directly engaging at key points in the client lifecycle, including onboarding, strategy reviews, QBRs, and renewals. This role combines commercial ownership with deep operational oversight in a fast-moving, performance-driven environment. It is ideal for a leader who thrives on structure, accountability, and elevating both team capability and client outcomes at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage a $15M P&L across Paid Media, Programmatic, and Creative, ensuring strong performance across revenue, margin, retention, and client success metrics.
  • Provide senior-level inspection of critical client delivery moments including onboarding, strategy development, execution planning, QBRs, ABRs, and renewal cycles.
  • Define and uphold quality standards across Paid Media, Programmatic, and Creative, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution and strategy.
  • Lead through Associate Directors, developing them into effective inspectors of work and accountable operational leaders.
  • Oversee cross-functional integration across media, creative, and programmatic teams to ensure unified and effective performance strategies.
  • Engage directly with senior client stakeholders on priority accounts to strengthen relationships, resolve escalations, and drive strategic alignment.
  • Monitor operational and commercial KPIs, using leading indicators to proactively manage risk and performance.
  • Guide pricing, resourcing, and staffing decisions to balance profitability with client outcomes.
  • Support expansion opportunities through cross-sell and account growth strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in paid media, performance marketing, or digital agency leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing multi-channel paid media practices including search, social, and programmatic.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership experience, including responsibility for revenue, margin, and commercial performance.
  • Experience leading and developing middle management teams (Associate Directors, Group Directors, or equivalent).
  • Strong fluency in performance marketing strategy, with the ability to critically evaluate media, creative, and programmatic work.
  • Experience working in agency or consulting environments with performance-driven client portfolios.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect operational execution to business outcomes.
  • Excellent client leadership skills, including experience engaging with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to build scalable operational systems for quality control, inspection, and performance improvement.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with a high level of strategic thinking.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with a strong performance-based bonus structure.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans for employees and families.
  • Employer-paid healthcare options and dependent coverage support (region-dependent).
  • Mental health support including access to therapy platforms and wellness resources.
  • Physical wellness benefits including virtual fitness programs and primary care access.
  • Unlimited PTO policy with minimum required time off and paid holidays.
  • Paid parental leave and extended year-end company closure for recharge.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Annual company-wide retreat and team-building events.
