About This Position

Senior Technical Business Analyst

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, product delivery, and technical execution, supporting the development of complex web-based applications and data-driven solutions. You will act as a key translator between business stakeholders, product teams, design, engineering, and QA, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined and effectively delivered. The position requires someone who is equally comfortable shaping early discovery discussions and writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. You will work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where Agile delivery is balanced with structured planning and documentation. Strong technical fluency, especially around web systems, APIs, and data flows, is essential to ensure scalable and feasible solutions. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences product quality, delivery efficiency, and user experience across large-scale initiatives.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of requirements definition and delivery support, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into clear, actionable, and testable artifacts for engineering and QA teams. You will collaborate across multiple functions to maintain alignment, reduce ambiguity, and drive successful product outcomes.

  • Own end-to-end requirements gathering from discovery through delivery, validation, and refinement
  • Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications to support Agile development and QA execution
  • Partner with Product Owners to prioritize and maintain backlogs aligned with business objectives
  • Participate in estimation and planning activities with engineering teams to assess scope, complexity, and delivery timelines
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and engineers to translate interface behavior into structured technical requirements
  • Create process flows, diagrams, and documentation to clearly define system behavior and functional scope
  • Use SQL to analyze and validate data, support troubleshooting, and ensure requirements accuracy
  • Support QA and UAT activities by clarifying requirements and expected outcomes
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment sessions to ensure shared understanding among stakeholders
Requirements

This position requires strong experience in technical business analysis within web-based or digital product environments, along with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working across multiple teams in a fast-paced delivery setting.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technical or web application products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and Agile documentation
  • Hands-on SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with web applications, APIs, and service-based architectures
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX collaboration and front-end behavior translation into requirements
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and tools such as Jira
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Experience supporting large-scale or multi-team initiatives is highly desirable
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $85,000 – $100,000 per year
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid life and disability coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary company match
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Travel discounts and employee perks
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
