About the Position:
The Fermented Food Production Specialist will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality fermented food products that are not only delicious but also offer health benefits through safe consumption of beneficial bacteria. The role involves maintaining a clean, organized, and well-maintained production environment to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production & Recipe Adherence: Execute production tasks according to supervisor instructions, ensuring timely completion of high-quality fermented food products; accurately follow recipes to maintain consistent product quality, taste, and health benefits.
- Safety Procedures: Adhere to equipment safety protocols, food safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (S.O.P.s).
- Team Collaboration: Work respectfully with co-workers and foster teamwork in the production process.
- Compliance: Follow all Idaho laws and company standards regarding food safety, sanitation, and handling practices.
- Stocking: Face and stock Cultured Mama products on the shelves while providing great customer service
- Independence: Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks efficiently.
Essential Requirements:
- Ability to safely handle sharp objects and equipment such as knives, meat slicers, and blenders.
- Must comply with all Idaho laws and company standards regarding food safety and sanitation.
- Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions, including both cold environments (e.g., walk-in coolers, freezers) and hot environments (e.g., stove tops, production areas).
- Ability to work in potentially slippery or tight spaces, navigate busy, high-traffic areas safely, and be aware of the surrounding environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment with potential loud noise from machinery.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs overhead.
- Ability to assess food quality, freshness, and consistency using sensory evaluation (taste, smell, and appearance).
- Ability to stand for an entire shift and perform repetitive tasks involving the use of arms, shoulders, wrists, hands, and back.
- Vision corrected to 20/20 for safety and accuracy.
- Must be able to handle sharp tools and equipment safely (e.g., knives, slicers).
