About the Role:

The Accountant will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position involves overseeing cost accounting processes, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger to support sound financial decision-making. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing balance sheets, account reconciliations, and supporting financial audits to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory standards. By leveraging accounting systems and financial accounting expertise, the role contributes to the integrity and transparency of the company’s financial data. Ultimately, the Accountant will provide essential insights and support to management, enabling effective budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting, bank reconciliation, and general ledger management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial accounting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting software.
  • Experience preparing balance sheets, account reconciliations, and supporting financial audits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with advanced accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as GAAP or IFRS.
  • Previous experience working in a corporate finance or public accounting environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Perform bank reconciliations regularly to verify cash balances and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Support cost accounting activities by tracking and analyzing production costs and variances.
  • Assist with financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize accounting systems to record, track, and report financial transactions efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support budgeting processes.
