Hygiene Assistant Opportunity!

Join the caring team at Acuity Dental in Knightsville (On Orangeburg Rd), led by Dr. Joanna Bauer. We’re a small, close-knit office with a wonderful hygienist and a shared commitment to providing exceptional patient care. We’re looking for a Hygiene Assistant who takes pride in their work, supports their team, and values a positive, patient-focused environment.

We value growth and development. Our current hygiene assistant is transitioning into an administrative role, opening this position.

Responsibilities:

• Support the hygienist in delivering excellent patient care.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instruments for hygiene procedures.
• Perform prophylaxis and take quality X-rays.
• Accurately chart and record patient information and treatment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene.
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols.

Qualifications:

• Must have a current South Carolina Radiation Certificate or be DANB Certified.
• Previous dental or hygiene assistant experience.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Friendly, dependable, and eager to grow in a supportive environment.
