Job Title: Sr. Director of IT Infrastructure & Security

Reports To: CEO

Salary: $135,000 – $182,000

Purpose of PositionThe Senior Director of IT is responsible for the reliability, security, and scalability of all technology infrastructure supporting all operations and corporate environments. This role ensures continuous uptime of mission-critical systems—including servers, RF devices, hardware and network infrastructure—while safeguarding company data and enabling operational efficiency across distribution centers and operations.

Position Competency

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  2. 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles within distribution, logistics, or supply chain environments
  3. Proven experience supporting multi-site warehouse operations and mission-critical systems

Technical Expertise

1. Strong experience with:

  • Warehouse infrastructure (RF devices, industrial hardware, Wi-Fi design)
  • Multi-site network architecture (SD-WAN, site-to-site connectivity)
  • Server environments (on-prem, hybrid, cloud)
  • Cybersecurity in operational environments 2.

2. Familiarity with WMS/TMS ecosystems and integrations strongly preferred

Role Expectations

Warehouse & Operational Technology Infrastructure

1. Ensure 24/7 availability of IT systems supporting distribution centers, including RF scanners, equipment, and automation technologies

2. Oversee deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of all IT hardware

3. Partner with operations leadership to optimize system performance, throughput, and uptime in high-volume environments

4. Support integration and uptime of automation, robotics, and IoT-enabled devices

Network Architecture (Multi-Site Operations)

1. Design, implement, and maintain highly available network infrastructure across multiple states and operation

2. Manage SD-WAN, VPNs, wireless networks (high-density warehouse Wi-Fi), and carrier relationships

3. Optimize network performance for latency-sensitive operations

Server & Systems Engineering

1. Design, management and execute cloud-based system

2. Lead initiatives for system redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery across distribution sites

3. Manage virtualization environments and cloud integrations supporting scalable operations

Cybersecurity & Compliance

1. Develop and enforce security protocols to protect operational systems, customer data, and supply chain integrity

2. Secure warehouse environments, including endpoint protection for mobile and shared devices

3. Oversee firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, and network segmentation across sites

4. Ensure compliance with applicable standards (SOC 2, ISO, customer/vendor security requirements)

5. Lead incident response planning with minimal disruption to operations

Business Continuity & Risk Management

1. Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans specific to warehouse operations

2. Ensure rapid recovery capabilities to minimize downtime in shipping and receiving operations

3. Conduct regular risk assessments across infrastructure and logistics systems

Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

1. Lead IT teams supporting infrastructure, networking, and security across all facilities

2. Partner closely with Operations, Transportation, and Support Teams to align IT capabilities with throughput and service goals

3. Drive IT strategy to support growth, new facility launches, and automation initiatives

4. Build scalable processes to support rapid expansion and multi-site standardization

Vendor & Project Management

1. Manage vendors supporting warehouse technology, networking, and infrastructure

2. Lead IT execution for new facility startups, expansions, and system rollouts

3. Oversee capital planning and budgeting for infrastructure investments

4. Ensure standardized deployments across all locations
