Speech Language Pathologist

Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist - Rehab Services, West Loop
Full Time
Day Shift – 8am-4:30pm
Compensation: $75K-$112K

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

We provide Rehabilitation Services, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy, at the main hospital as well as multiple outside outpatient clinics. This full-time outpatient position offers flexible days and hours, time off and reimbursement for CEUs, licensure renewal, and mentorship for new graduates. We pride ourselves on treating patients 1:1 with no patient overlap for the full 1-hour session. In addition to having an open-door policy, we encourage a good work/life balance.

Position Summary

Evaluate and treat patients using the principles and practices of occupational therapy in accordance with the patient's age, developmental level and diagnosis. Assists clinical manager with administrative duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patients, conducts diagnostic evaluations, establishes goals and develops individualized treatment plans. Provides direct patient treatment based on current speech and language pathology practice and revises treatment plan based on the patient's response.
  • Provides counseling and education (as necessary) to patients and family regarding patients' abilities and needs for assistance and continued therapeutic intervention.
  • Consults with physicians on patient's evaluations, progress and complications with treatment.
  • Maintains medical and departmental records according to department policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with other professional staff and the patient's family/support system to provide continuity of care.

Work Experience:

  • Experience working with children, new graduates welcome.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer Service skills
  • SLP-IL License
  • CPR Card
  • CCC and IDFPR licensure required.
