Brown Technologies is seeking a Power Automate & Intelligent Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade automation solutions across Microsoft ecosystems and integrated data platforms. This role focuses on architecting advanced Power Automate workflows, integrating Python-based automation pipelines, and incorporating AI capabilities to streamline operations and enable data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong in workflow automation and scripting, and experienced in translating business and engineering requirements into scalable automation solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the SME for Microsoft Power Automate, including architecture, workflow design, testing, and deployment

Design and build advanced cloud and desktop flows supporting approvals, data movement, integrations, and robotic process automation (RPA)

Develop Python scripts to support automation logic, data processing, API integrations, and backend workflow orchestration

Integrate automation solutions with Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Dataverse, and Excel

Design and implement custom connectors and REST API integrations

Incorporate AI capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot and other AI services, into automation workflows where applicable

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and rapidly deliver working automation solutions

Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance workflow performance, scalability, and governance

Develop documentation, reusable automation patterns, and governance standards

Stay current on Microsoft Power Platform, AI capabilities, and automation best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:Required:

5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop)

Strong hands-on experience designing complex automation workflows

Proficiency in Python for scripting, data transformation, and API integration

Experience integrating Power Automate with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 services

Experience working with REST APIs and external system integrations

Ability to work independently and own solutions end-to-end

Strong communication skills and a practical, problem-solving mindset

Preferred:

Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio or AI-driven workflow automation

Familiarity with Azure services, Dataverse, SQL, or enterprise data environments

Experience integrating generative AI or machine learning capabilities into business processes

Experience supporting federal or DoD programs

Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, or AI-related certifications
