Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes for both new and existing aerospace components to improve efficiency and performance.
- Interpret and generate engineering drawings and 3D models to aid in manufacturing planning.
- Design and detail tooling and fixtures that enable consistent, high-quality, and efficient production.
- Prepare and maintain Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWIs) along with supporting technical documentation.
- Plan and organize manufacturing operations with an emphasis on quality, cost-effectiveness, and productivity.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams-including Design Engineering, Quality, and Productionto ensure successful process implementation.
- Provide hands-on technical support to the shop floor by troubleshooting issues and promoting continuous improvement.
- Support the adoption of Lean Manufacturing practices and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Use NX CAD software to create, update, and review models and tooling designs.
Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D modeling.
- Experience in planning manufacturing sequences, designing fixtures and tooling.
- Experienced with NX CAD platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to program and contract compliance requirements.
